The Magnolia Support Group has proudly supported Magnolia area youth since 1990 at the local FFA show and sale. The MISD Livestock Show welcomes FFA and 4-H members who attend Magnolia ISD. The success of this local event depends heavily on buyers. The Magnolia Support Group consists of local families, businesses, elected officials, and individuals who have combined their time, efforts, and donations, providing a substantial opportunity to make generous purchases at the MISD Livestock Show. Many willing supporters are unable to purchase individually, but together, we can make a difference in the life of many deserving students.
In 2015, Magnolia Support Group was able to start a Scholarship program in memory of one of the founders, the late Mr. Richard Anderson. This program continues to benefit deserving MHS and MSHS seniors who have grown & prospered from the FFA program. In 2024, 2 students, one from each high school, each received $1500 scholarships for a total of $3000 to continue their education in agriculture.
In 2022, Magnolia Support Group was asked to hold the Bingo license for all of MISD. With the bingo license, we are able to host bingo events to raise funds for student organizations at MHS & MWHS. There are 5 bingo events each school year that benefit more than 30 groups of students. Our goal is to be able to raise enough funds to create more scholarship opportunities in 2025.
MAGNOLIA SUPPORT GROUP is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization, TAX ID# 47-1786936.
